Ziceam intr-un post recent ca The Economist a laudat Romania pentru ca are cel mai reformist guvern din Europa de Est.
Iata ca in ultimul numar, in articolul "Corruption in ex-communist countries - Judge or be judged" ne lauda din nou:
"In the early post-communist years, the trend was to give judges great independence but low salaries (Maxim: cred ca aici se inseala in ceea ce priveste independenta judecatorilor in Romania). That was a receipe for corruption. The new approach is to pay them more and police their activities more strictly. That is working - particularly in Romania - but it is a slow slog elsewhere".
Daca pana in 2001, The Economist nu scria decat comentarii sumbre despre Romania, din 2001 si pana in 2004, tonul comentariilor la adresa Romaniei s-a schimbat in bine iar din 2005 cred ca putem interpreta tonul din The Economist drept pozitiv.
